Nuestro nombre dice lo que hacemos : turismo en
bicicleta.
Quienes somos?
Aníbal Paredes, cicloturista y fundador de esta
organización que agrupa a personas con los mismos
intereses: el amor al planeta en que vivimos, a
todos los seres que lo habitan y el permanente deseo
de viajar en bicicleta por todo el Perú y el mundo,
recorriendo y conociendo nuevos caminos y llegando a
pueblos y lugares extraordinarios.
Aníbal tiene una larga experiencia de vida como
viajero infatigable desde los tiempos universitarios
haciendo innumerables excursiones de trekking por
todo el Perú. También durante muchos años de viaje
en camioneta 4x4 ha llegado a lugares nunca antes
vistos de nuestro país. Y ahora en bicicleta su
entusiasmo por seguir viajando continúa siempre en
busca de nuevas y únicas experiencias.
Su educación, formación, experiencia y entrenamiento
incluye: estudios completos de Biología en la
Universidad Ricardo Palma con mención especial en
Ecología, estudios en el área de Prevención de
Desastres, Operaciones de Emergencia y de Búsqueda y
Rescate en la Escuela de la Segunda Regíon de
Defensa Civil del Perú que lo llevaron a ser miembro
del Escuadrón de Rescate de Defensa Civil,
Secretario Técnico e Inspector Técnico de Seguridad
en Defensa civil. También ha hecho estudios en
radiocomunicaciones y completado los cursos de
Primeros Auxilios de la Cruz Roja. Cursos de
Marketing y Administración en el área de Turismo y
Hotelería. Habla, lee y escribe el idioma inglés
gracias a sus estudios y práctica permanente en
forma autodidacta. La astronomía es una de sus
aficiones que ha desarrollado desde el año 1986 y
que lo llevó a conformar el grupo de astrónomos
aficionados Cielo 12 Sur. También es el fundador de
la Asociación Civil sin fines de lucro Yanapasayki,
Cuerpo Peruano de Ayuda, organización humanitaria de
voluntarios que presta ayuda y auxilio en casos de
emergencias y desastres. Ha sido agente suplente en
el Perú de World Challenge Expeditions, empresa
internacional de turismo con sede en Inglaterra.
Además, en la escuela de Kodak en el Perú completó
el curso de fotografía ocupando el segundo lugar en
su promoción. Asimismo ha llevado cursos de
cartografía y navegación y es miembro de varios
foros virtuales de ciclismo, cicloturismo, viajes,
navegación GPS, protección del medio ambiente, etc.
En el transcurso de los años Aníbal ha reunido y
recopilado una numerosa y valiosa colección de
libros, revistas, información y mapas del Perú.
Permanentemente realiza el estudio e investigación
de rutas, destinos y lugares de especial interés
para planear, organizar, promover y dirigir viajes
cicloturísticos de diferentes modalidades y niveles
de dificultad: autoportantes, soportados, fáciles,
moderados, de aventura, exploración, y
descubrimiento, siempre con especial énfasis y el
enfoque en la calidad de la experiencia única e
inolvidable en busca de la conexión y sintonía con
el medio ambiente natural, la gente y los lugares
que se visitan. Toda la experiencia e información
recogida en los viajes la resume y sintetiza en las
crónicas de viaje que publica y pone a disposición
de todos

Como lo hacemos?
Todos los paseos, viajes, excursiones y expediciones
que organizamos son cuidadosamente planeadas y
organizadas con especial cuidado en los aspectos de
seguridad y la mejor calidad de los equipos y de la
logística necesaria para realizarlos.
Los guías. Tienen varios años de experiencia
en cicloturismo y viajes en el Perú. Están bien
familiarizados con el ambiente y costumbres locales
y su principal mandato es actuar a favor del mejor
interés y satisfacción del cliente. Su formación y
entrenamiento incluye: primeros auxilios, técnica y
mecánica de bicicletas, comunicaciones, atención al
cliente, respuesta y protección en situaciones de
emergencia, entre otros.
Las rutas. Todas
nuestras rutas han sido estudiadas, probadas y
desarrolladas por nosotros, de modo que, es nuestra
experiencia personal la que ofrece la garantía de
una buena ruta.
Los destinos. Los
destinos que ofrecemos incluyen los
convencionales del turismo general en el Perú en las
principales ciudades y centros de atracción
turística y los Destinos Especiales y diferentes
que nosotros hemos descubierto y desarrollado y que
hacen que las experiencias con

sean opciones nuevas, únicas e inolvidables.
Estamos en permanente estudio, búsqueda e
investigación de nuevos destinos que tengan valor y
ofrezcan atractivos e interés especiales.
Las modalidades. El cicloturismo se puede
hacer en la modalidad
autoportante donde cada persona lleva su propio
equipaje y en la modalidad
soportada donde se va con vehículo de apoyo que
lleva el equipaje, los implementos, etc. y también
sirve para hacer traslados de las personas y
bicicletas según sea necesario.
Los niveles de dificultad. Nosotros hemos
desarrollado y descrito una
escala de niveles de dificultad del 1 al 5 que
se adapta a todos los casos de las personas según su
nivel de entrenamiento y habilidad de manejo.
Los equipos. Todo el equipamiento e
implementos que utilizamos es de las mejores marcas,
calidad y funcionalidad. Empleamos los últimos
modelos y más modernos que hay en el mercado para
las diferentes aplicaciones: transporte (vehículos y
bicicletas), navegación, primeros auxilios, radio
comunicación, seguridad personal, etc.
Enfoque. El cicloturismo lo concebimos como
la oportunidad de vivir experiencias únicas y
extraordinarias y nos enfocamos en alcanzar los
niveles de satisfacción, conexión y sintonía con el
medio ambiente, el paisaje, la ruta, los lugares y
las personas de los sitios que visitamos.
Respeto por el medio ambiente y las culturas
nativas. Nuestra filosofía de vida está
orientada a proteger y respetar el medio ambiente
natural en todos sus aspectos y detalles. Nuestros
viajes y presencia causan un impacto ambiental
mínimo o nulo, dejando detrás de nosotros solamente
la huella de nuestras pisadas. Igualmente el
respeto por las culturas nativas, en los pueblos y
las personas que visitamos es absoluto, evitamos
influir o perturbar la vida de ellos y aceptamos y
nos adaptamos a sus usos y costumbres.

The name describes
what we do: bicycle touring.
Who are we?
Aníbal Paredes,
bike tourer and founder of this
organization gathering people that share the love
for the planet we live in, for all forms of life and
the permanent desire of bicycle touring throughout Perú and the world, travelling new routes and
visiting towns and extraordinary places.
Aníbal has a
extensive personal experience as restless traveller
since he was a young university student making
many trekking and hiking trips
throughout the country. Also as a four wheeler
with his truck reaching places never visited before.
And now on his bicycles the enthusiasm for travelling
continues always looking for new, unique and
unforgettable experiences.
His education,
experience and training include: complete studies of
Biology, Ricardo Palma University, with focus on
Ecology; followed studies in the field of Disasters
Prevention, Emergency Operations and Search and
Rescue in the Civil Defense School to be named
member as Safety Officer of the Search and Rescue Squad, Technical
Secretary and Technical Security Inspector.
Also has completed Radio Communications and First
Aid (Red Cross) courses. Marketing, Tourism and
Hotel Management studies. Self learning of
English language (reading, writing and speaking
fluently). Astronomy is one of his hobbies
since 1986 and founded Cielo 12 Sur Astronomy Club.
Also founded Yanapasayki, non profit NGO formed by
volunteers providing assistance and emergency help
when disasters occur. Has been deputy agent of
World Challenge Expeditions, a British international
travel company. Moreover, completed the full course at the
Kodak Photography School. As well studied
mapping and navigation and joined several forums of
cycling, cycle touring, travel, GPS navigation,
environment protection, etc.
During all these
years Aníbal has gathered and collected a number of
valuable books, magazines, information and maps
of Perú. As a true explorer, on a permanent basis, he is studying
and researching about new routes, destinations and
places of special interest for planning, organize,
promote and lead cycle touring trips in different
modes and levels of difficulty: self-contained,
fully supported, easy, moderate, adventure, explore
and discovery accordingly, always with special accent and focus
on the unique experience quality, searching the
connection and tune with the environment, the people
and places visited. All the experience and
information is gathered and summarized in the trip
reports he publishes and shares with
everybody.

How do we do it?
All bike trips,
excursions and expeditions made by us are carefully
planned and organized with special focus on the
safety and the best quality of the equipment and
logistics needed.
The guides.
Have a number of years of experience as cycle
tourers and travelling in Perú. They are well
trained with the local mean and costumes and their
main command is to act favouring the satisfaction of
the clients. Their education and training include:
first aids, bicycle mechanics, communications,
client service, emergency response and protection,
among others.
The routes.
All our routes has been
studied, tested and developed by us, therefore our
personal experience guarantees a good route.
The
destinations. The
destinations offered include the conventional
ones for general interest tourism in Perú in the
main tourist cities and places, but also the Special
Destinations and different we have discovered and
developed that make the experiences lived with
Cicloturismo Perú -
Peru Cycling
a new, unique and unforgettable option. We are on
permanent study, search and research of new
destinations with value, attraction and special
interest.
The modes. Cycle touring is offered in two
modes to suit the clients budget and needs:
self-containing, the
client carries the own gear and
fully supported with a
support vehicle carrying the gear, equipment, etc.,
and also for transport of the people and the bikes
as needed.
The levels of
difficulty. We have described a
scale of levels of difficulty
of 5 grades that adapts and suits pretty well to all
personal cases according with their fitness and
riding skills.
The equipment.
All the equipments and gear used in the bike trios
are of the best brands, quality and functionality.
The models are the last and modern in the market for
different applications: transport (vehicles and
bicycles), GPS navigation, first aid, radio
communication, personal safety, etc.
Focus. We
conceive cycle touring as the opportunity to live
unique and extraordinary experiences and we focus in
reaching levels of satisfaction, connection and tune
with the environment, the landscape, the trail, the
places and the people we visit.
Respect for
environment and local culture. Our
philosophy of life is oriented to fully protect and
respect the natural environment in all its aspects
and details. Our trips and presence causes a minimum
or null ambient impact, leaving behind us just our
foot prints. In the same way the respect for local
culture in the towns and people visited is absolute
avoiding disturb their life and accepting and
adapting ourselves to their lifestyle and costumes.
