El cicloturismo
es una actividad a la que me aficioné desde el año
2005 y desde entonces le metí ganas y recursos al
tema recorriendo muchos lugares del Perú en
bicicleta. Los destinos en mi país parecen
interminables.
Pero un día tomando desayuno con mi mujer y mirando
el mapamundi colgado en la pared nació la gran idea
de dar la vuelta al mundo en bici después de caer en
la cuenta de cuanto me faltaba por recorrer y a que
altura de la vida me encuentro.
A fin de este año cumplo 50 años y la idea de
hacerme viejo y morirme sin haber conocido el mundo
en que vivo como que no me cabe en la cabeza, así
que surgió la idea total: hacer el tour del mundo en
bici, ni más ni menos.
Así que aquí vamos.
El proyecto tiene sus bemoles: presupuesto, plan de
ruta, organización, dejar la vida y las cosas
organizadas aquí por un largo tiempo (6 a 9 años),
financiamiento, auspicios, publicidad, contactos,
logística, trámites, visas, equipamiento y mil
etcéteras más…
Muchas cosas del equipamiento ya las tengo y
actualmente estoy trabajando activamente en
conseguir lo que falta.
Si alguien más quiere sumarse al proyecto,
bienvenido, juntos lo podremos realizar.
Este es el inicio del gran proyecto del Tour del
Mundo en Bici, la partida será dentro de tres años,
después de que deje concluidas algunas cosas
pendientes como los estudios universitarios de mis
hijos.

Cycle touring
is an activity to which I joined since 2005 and
since then put lots of will, passion and material
resources to travel to many places in Peru on my
bike. Destinations in my country seem endless.
But one day having breakfast with my wife and
looking at the world map hanging on the wall began
the idea of the Worl Bike Tour after realizing how
much was left for cycling and how old I am.
On December 30th I wll be 50 and the idea of getting
old and die without having visited the planet I
lived on doesn't fit in my head, so the total idea
was conceived: The World Bike Tour.
So, here we go.
The project has its duties: budget, route planning,
organization, backup support, leaving the life and
things organized for a long time (6 to 9 years),
financing, sponsorship, publicity, contacts,
logistics, paperwork, visas, equipment and a
thousand etceteras...
I got many things of the necessary equipment and am
actively working on getting what is needed.
If somebody else wants to join the project welcome,
together we can do it.
This is the begining of the great project: The World
Bike Tour, departure will be in three more years,
after I accomplish some pending things like the
university studies of my children completed.
The time in between until departure on Jan 2011 will
be to get ready for the

| AUSPICIADORES El proyecto del Tour
del Mundo en Bici para una sola persona significa un
gran esfuerzo desde todo punto de vista, al día de
hoy 29 Septiembre 2009 ya he invertido casi $4000
en equipamiento, sin embargo aún hay necesidades
importantes por cubrir de las cuales puede
significar la diferencia entre sobrellevar o
no ciertas situaciones.
En concreto lo que falta es lo siguiente:
- Una tienda de campaña
(carpa) ligera tipo cuatro estaciones de buena
calidad
- Seguro médico
internacional.
- Una microcomputadora de
8,9″ Toshiba NB105 o similar.
- Ropa para ciclismo (licras,
Camisas y medias tipo Dry Fit),
preferiblemente lisas para imprimir nuestro logo
de viaje y logos de los patrocinadores.
- Una cuchilla de
sobrevivencia Swiss Army o Victorinox.
- Un reloj Polar que mida
velocidad, altura, humedad,

SPONSORS The World
Bike Tour project is a big enterprise for one single
person. Until present day Sep 29th 2009 almost U$
4,000 has been invested in equipment, however there
are some important goods needed that would make a
difference between overcoming or not certain
circumstances.
Basically following is needed:
- A very good quality light weight tent, four
seasons type.
- International medical insurance.
- A portable computer notebook type 8.9"

- Cycling clothing, dry fit type. Plain colour
to print on them the expedition´s logo and the
ones of the sponsors.
